Specifically, this presentation reviews supercharge (reverse end-to-side) nerve transfers and available nerve transfers in the hand. Supercharge nerve transfers has been a recent development for improving recovery for 2nd/3rd degree nerve injuries without sacrificing the integrity of the target recipient nerve for reinnervation. Standard end-to-end nerve transfers are for complete 4th/5th degree nerve injuries and this presentation include discussion on motor and sensory nerve transfers in the hand.
