Patient Specific Instrumentation in Shoulder Arthroplasty

Born and raised in Porto, Portugal, Dr Gomes graduated from Porto University Med School in 1996, with several clerkships and international student experiences abroad on the way, including being the 1st ERASMUS student from a Portuguese Medical College.
Completed his General Internship in Porto and Macau, China, and his Orthopaedics Residency in Porto as an Army Doctor in 2006, which included several Fellowships in France and Spain. He maintains since then his public and private practice in the Porto region, including roles as Clinical Director of the Orthopaedics Dept of the Armed Forces Hospital in Porto, with special dedication to shoulder surgery for over 17 years now. He is currently the Vice-Chairman of the European Shoulder Associates of ESSKA and is a frequent contributor to international training events.
