This is a classic Pipkin4 fracture with infrafoveal fracture of the femoral head and the acetabular rim fracture. The acetabular rim fracture is too small(less than 20%) and does not compromise hip stability. The only controlled study(high qulaity) available on this is by Swiontkowski et al..http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/1494097 which favours an Anterior approach for fixation of femoral head.
