ANATOMY OF THE RADIAL & DORSAL SIDE OF THE FOREARM
In forearm there are 12 muscles which is arranged in 3 groups
1) Radial side (superficial)
2) Dorsal side( superficial)
3) Deep group of muscles
These 12 muscles help in extending the wrist, the fingers, & the thumb, as well as rotation of the forearm.
Radial side group contains 3 muscles ;
* Extensor carpi radialis brevis
* Extensor carpi radialis longus
* Brachioradialis
Deep group of muscles contain 5 muscles ;
- Supinator
- Abductor pollicis longus
- Extensor pollicis brevis
- Extensor Pollicis Longus
- extensor indicis
Dorsal group of muscle contain 4 muscles ;
* Anconeus
* Extensor carpi ulnaris
* Extensor digiti minimi
* Extensor digitorum
