The video describes the ganglion cyst.It is a benign cyst filled with jelly like fluid, presents as a soft tissue mass. They may change their size and grow slowly. Most commonly seen over wrist, foot and also seen around shoulder, knee or may arise from the bone itself. Most of them are asymptomatic, some may cause pressure over adjacent nerves, vessels and tendons which results in characteristic symptoms. Those around wrist and foot will transilluminate since they contain clear fluid. If patient is asymptomatic no intervention is needed, but if it is symptomatic Aspiration of cyst or Surgical excision is carried out.
